Who we are
Faylon processes documents you upload in order to fill them from the profile data you provide. We are the data controller for your account data.
What we collect
Account data (name, email, hashed password), the profile attributes you choose to store (identity, contact, family, and financial information), the documents you upload, and an activity log of actions on your account.
Why we process it
Solely to provide the service: detecting fields in your documents, proposing values from your profile, and producing the filled document you download. We do not sell your data and we do not use it for advertising profiles.
How it is protected
Passwords are hashed (scrypt). Financial and captured custom values are encrypted at the application layer before storage, so they are ciphertext at rest. All access is scoped to your account and logged.
Sharing with an agency
If you choose to send your information to an agency using its code, Faylon makes a snapshot copy of the profile fields you consent to share into that agency's account. You see exactly which fields will be shared before you confirm, and nothing is sent without your explicit consent. From that point the agency is an independent controller of the copy it receives and is responsible for handling it lawfully. You can stop sharing future updates at any time by simply not sending again.
Retention
If your subscription ends, your data is kept for 40 days with warnings at days 30, 37 and 39, then your profile, documents and stored files are deleted automatically (your account stays so you can re-subscribe). You can also delete your account at any time from Settings, which erases everything immediately.
Your rights
You can access, export (Settings → Export my data), correct, or erase your data at any time, and you may lodge a complaint with your supervisory authority. Erasure leaves only an anonymized audit record.
Processors
Document text may be processed by OCR and AI providers strictly to fill your document, under contracts that prohibit them from retaining or training on your data.
